The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented, and brand-driven professional to serve as Director of Graphic Design & Creative Content. This position is responsible for the visual presentation of the Conference brand across print, digital, social, video, and event-related platforms.

The Director of Graphic Design & Creative Content will lead the creation of compelling graphics, branded assets, campaign visuals, and creative materials that elevate the visibility, professionalism, and impact of the Conference. This position plays a central role in supporting championships, special events, fan engagement, sponsor activations, social media, and other public-facing Conference initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong design eye, excellent storytelling instincts, and the ability to translate Conference priorities into high-quality visual content that reflects the strength and identity of the MEAC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the visual execution of the Conference’s brand identity across all platforms and materials.

Design and produce creative assets for championships, special events, and Conference initiatives.

Develop graphics, templates, signage, presentations, digital assets, and social media creative.

Create and maintain brand standards, design systems, and visual consistency for the Conference.

Produce visual content that supports storytelling, student-athlete promotion, fan engagement, and Conference branding.

Develop campaign visuals in support of marketing, audience engagement, and event promotion.

Collaborate with the Director of Brand Strategy & Engagement on promotional campaigns, game presentation materials, and in-arena fan engagement assets.

Coordinate with Digital Media & Production to align creative elements with video, broadcast, and digital content initiatives.

Assist with the Student Content Creators Program through visual guidance, brand standards, and creative development support.

Support sponsor activation efforts through the design of branded materials and promotional assets.

Develop graphics and content for awards, milestone moments, Conference recognitions, and institutional storytelling.

Maintain organized archives of creative files, templates, photos, and branded materials.

Ensure high production quality, visual consistency, and timely completion of deliverables.

Stay current on design trends, creative storytelling approaches, and best practices in athletics branding and content development.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Commissioner for External Affairs, Deputy Commissioner / Chief Operating Officer, or Commissioner.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, digital media, creative services, or related field.

Experience in graphic design, athletics creative services, branding, digital content, or a related area.

Strong portfolio demonstrating design range, brand consistency, and content creativity.

Experience creating assets for social media, events, campaigns, and promotional use.

Experience in college athletics, professional sports, conference offices, or higher education is preferred.

Appreciation for the mission, legacy, and cultural significance of HBCUs is strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong design, layout, and visual storytelling ability

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects in a fast-paced environment

Strong collaboration and communication skills

Ability to develop compelling content that reflects Conference priorities
