DIRECTOR FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER

Schedule: Day shift (8:00 am – 4:30 pm), full‑time. Salary: $60,000 annually.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of program development, staff supervision, budgeting, fundraising, enrollment and facilities.

Facilitate the smooth flow of the program and ensure adherence to the stated philosophy.

Oversee the care, safety and well‑being of staff, participants and volunteers.

Coordinate staff meetings, orientation and training, encouraging professional development.

Help participants identify their needs.

Network with the community by coordinating outreach.

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statistical and programmatic reports.

Attend sponsoring agency, Directors’ and Advisory Committee meetings.

Educational Qualifications and Experience Master’s degree in Human Services or Human Development preferred. Bachelor’s degree in the same field accepted with a minimum of four years’ experience in program development and management for populations similar to Family Support Center participants. A minimum of two years of supervisory experience is required.

General Qualifications

Understand and be committed to the overall philosophy of Family Support.

Work cooperatively with consultants from the Maryland Family Network responsible for implementation and evaluation of the Family Support Center program.

Maintain respect for confidentiality of information divulged by or on behalf of participants.

Have the ability to relate to people of diverse educational, cultural and economic backgrounds.

Be willing and able to conduct aggressive outreach and recruitment.

Model appropriate interaction with young children and parents.

Be able to work independently, as a team member and as a leader.

Be willing to submit to a criminal background investigation.

Have a current medical evaluation, including a tuberculosis screen within six months prior to starting work.
