General Summary Graduate Assistant - Marketing & Recruitment reports to the Assistant Director of the Honors College and will contribute to the Honors College student success initiatives and will engage in work that provides context for marketing and recruitment surrounding student outreach.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and manage Honors College recruitment events.
Produce flyers and other media to advertise Honors events.
Oversee and assist with revisions and updates to the College website; overseeing and assisting with photography, including editing and distribution; managing and assisting with production and distributing the newsletter.
Aid in alumni outreach, including maintaining the alumni database.
Assist with the oversight of the Honors College Apparel Store.
Give presentations to recruit Honors students.
Correspond and meet with prospective Honors students and families to discuss the benefits of Honors College membership.
Functional supervision over Honors College Marketing & Recruitment Team is required.
Minimum Qualifications Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate program, preferably in higher education administration/student affairs, Integrated Marketing Communications, communications, management, counseling, or a related field.
Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
Maintain a 67% course completion rate or higher is required.
Enrollment in at least 6 credits for Fall and Winter semesters is required.
Demonstrate exemplary skills in oral and written communication.
Comfortable managing and editing both print and social media.
Demonstrate exceptional organization, project, and time management skills.
Experience and commitment to work within a diverse, multicultural environment.
Graduate Assistants are expected to work 20 hours each week.
