
Sr. Home Loan Processor

Role Summary
The Sr. Home Loan Processor position is responsible for ordering, gathering, reviewing, and preparing required loan documents for all residential mortgage loans. This includes ensuring all loan conditions are fulfilled and the loan meets all credit union, regulatory, and secondary market guidelines. The role has expert, wide‑range job knowledge and handles significant responsibilities beyond the Loan Processor II level. It acts as a resource for other Loan Processors, providing guidance, mentorship, and training.
What You Will Be Doing
Review loan applications for accuracy, compliance, and completeness to ensure loans comply with regulatory, lending, investor and secondary market guidelines.
Order appraisals, title commitments, tax transcripts, income verifications, government case numbers, fraud and compliance reports.
Communicate and collaborate with borrowers, loan officers, realtors, vendors and operations staff to provide status updates and outstanding items for organized, accurate and timely closings.
Review, collect, and fulfill underwriting conditions.
Evaluate appraisals, title policies, credit reports, and income verifications.
Investigate inconsistencies in supporting documentation to identify potential fraud or misrepresentation.
Prepare and deliver re‑disclosures to members within regulatory guidelines based on identified changes in circumstance.
Prepare and deliver documents in an accurate, timely manner adhering to regulatory requirements.
Coordinate loan closing, recording, and funding with escrow.
Review signed closing documents to ensure accuracy, proper execution, and completeness.
Prepare and disburse loan funds.
Perform post‑closing responsibilities including packaging and shipping investor loans.
Prioritize and monitor daily workload to meet company timeline expectations and lock expirations.
Meet minimum monthly goals established by management.
Maintain thorough knowledge of all credit union mortgage products.
Control risk and perform duties safely and soundly while maintaining awareness of policies and regulations.
Understand and perform BSA functions applicable to the role.
Attend credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars approved by leadership.
Maintain a dependable record of attendance and commitment.
Maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly attitude and display mutual respect, trust, and dignity while acting in the best interest of the credit union; lead by example with solid ethics and integrity.
Maintain and protect all sensitive data with the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism.
Willingly perform other job‑related projects and duties as assigned, self‑initiating assistance and requesting assistance from teammates as appropriate.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent completion of specialized course of study, training, and experience.
Minimum five (5) years of mortgage processing experience.
Minimum three (3) years of experience processing Correspondent, FHA, and VA loans.
Proficiency in calculating income for all types of income, including self‑employment.
Proven track record of maintaining monthly pipeline goals.
Qualification in clearing final conditions on designated loans.
Expert experience with AUS, loan origination software and navigating vendor partner platforms.
Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office Suite.
Some travel required for training and business objectives.
Valid driver’s license.

Full Salary Range Richland, WA: $25.70–$42.83 per hour.
Vancouver, WA: $27.33–$45.56 per hour.
