
Seasonal Retail Assistant

Position Overview
The Retail Assistant reports to the Hospitality Manager and Assistant Hospitality Managers and will be responsible for ensuring that retail operations flow efficiently and smoothly for both the team and guests. This role supports the Retail Team in delivering top quality beverages in a friendly and memorable environment. The position requires flexibility, a sense of humor, strong communication, effort, and a positive attitude.
Position Details This is a part‑time and seasonal role based in Tewksbury, MA. Requirements include working Saturdays, at least one closing shift per week, and maintaining additional weekend availability as needed to meet business demands.
Compensation Starting base rate of $17 per hour. The position is also eligible for the company bonus program and a robust perks package.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a clean, welcoming, and educated experience for all guests.
Assist retail team members in stocking pack‑off tables with cans in a calm and professional manner.
Keep track of can‑case inventory in coolers and on the retail can‑sale floor.
Collect all used glassware both inside and outside the facility.
Run the dish‑washers for bar service.
Help maintain a clean bar area for all guests.
Assist in trash clean‑up both inside and outside the facility and dispose of properly.
Assist in re‑stocking merchandise shelves as requested.
Assist in parking assistance as requested and undertake other facilities tasks such as:
Welcoming guests onto the property and staying present to answer questions or provide rides to their cars.
Providing information calmly and professionally about appropriate parking.
Keeping parking areas clean and orderly to maximize space usage.
Directing motorists to parking areas or spaces, using hand signals or flashlights when necessary.
Professionally and tactfully reminding guests of Tree House policies (e.g., no open cans on premises, no parking in designated areas).
Maintaining proper signage in correct places around the facility.
Assist in overall bathroom cleanliness and stocking.
Perform additional ad‑hoc tasks as requested by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 6 months of professional experience.
Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of application.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is strongly preferred.
Driven, self‑motivated, and able to work autonomously with a focused, hard‑working attitude.
Innate helpful nature and a willingness to be a strong, reliable team player willing to go the extra mile.
Quick learner able to work with minimal or no supervision.
Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in time‑sensitive situations.
Tactful communication with guests as needed.
Punctual and responsible with one's time.
Capacity to troubleshoot issues and pivot plans quickly in order to coordinate corrective actions.
Meticulous attention to detail when keeping the grounds clean.
Not afraid to speak one's mind.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to push, pull, bend, and lift in excess of 50 lbs. as necessary.
Physical requirements: This role requires standing, repeatedly lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., and going in and out of the refrigerated cold box for the entirety of shifts.
