Commercial Loan Post Closing Specialist The Commercial Loan Post Closing Specialist position is responsible for the quality and compliance of documented loan requests, including thorough evaluation of the executed loan package and supporting documentation.
Responsibilities
Review loan approval and closing documentation to ensure it meets loan policy, audit and legal requirements.
Prepare, review, and file collateral documents including:
Real estate mortgages / deeds of trust
Vehicle titles and lien filings
UCC‑1 financing statements and amendments
Ensure timely and accurate lien perfection in accordance with state and federal requirements.
Coordinate with county clerks, DMVs, secretaries of state, title companies, and third‑party vendors.
Monitor recording confirmations and follow up on rejected filings.
Maintain collateral tracking systems.
Verify receipt of recorded documents and original titles.
Monitor ticklers for UCC continuations and renewals.
Monitor department inboxes and process requests as needed.
Ensure loan adheres to compliance and audit standards and expectations.
Maintain service level agreements in a high‑volume, high‑stress environment.
Complete special projects as required.
Education and Experience Preferred
3‑5 years of Commercial Real Estate Experience and/or documentation experience. Attorney‑prepared documentation experience preferred; consumer documentation experience optional.
3‑5 years of collateral lien perfection experience required.
SBA documentation experience is a plus.
Must possess exceptional organizational and time‑management skills.
Ability to achieve high production and quality standards.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and all other Microsoft applications.
Ability to learn new systems and understand additional bank system functionality.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to work flexible hours to meet necessary deadlines.
Preferred: FISERV and nCino system experience.
Working Conditions The physical demands of this position require the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Employees may spend extended periods sitting or standing, using hands to operate computers or other equipment, and reaching for work‑related tasks. Regular walking may be required, along with occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or climbing. The role may involve lifting or moving items weighing up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
