Our client, a long-standing community bank along the shoreline, is seeking an experienced Loan Operations Supervisor to join a growing Loan Department. This individual will oversee loan servicing and post closing operations across both residential mortgage and commercial loan portfolios. This opportunity is ideal for a strong operational leader with proven supervisory experience and a deep understanding of both residential and commercial loan servicing and closing. The right candidate will be detail oriented, highly organized, and comfortable leading in a fast paced environment. Key Responsibilities

Oversee loan onboarding, servicing setup, ongoing maintenance, and system updates Ensure accurate processing of payments and residential mortgage servicing activities, including escrow administration, insurance tracking, and real estate tax administration Review and approve payoffs, releases, subordinations, modifications, extensions, and other post closing servicing actions for both residential and commercial loans Oversee commercial loan servicing activities, including construction loan advances and lines of credit, with documentation review, covenant and condition support, and disbursement controls Ensure timely completion of year end servicing functions, including annual statements and IRS reporting Supervise, assign, and monitor staff workflow Prioritize daily work and monitor queues, exceptions, and aging items Implement corrective action as needed to support service, accuracy, and efficiency Escalate and resolve complex servicing issues, customer inquiries, and system related problems Train, coach, mentor, and develop staff Support onboarding, development planning, and cross coverage Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable servicing and post closing regulations Escalate issues and control gaps when appropriate Support audits and exams by maintaining records and responding to information requests Review, reconcile, and resolve reports and general ledger accounts Identify trends, gaps, training needs, and process improvement opportunities Serve as backup to the Mortgage Origination Supervisor, supporting quality control reviews and HMDA and CRA validation and reporting Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience 5 to 7 years of progressive loan servicing or loan operations experience supporting both residential mortgage and commercial loan portfolios Strong supervisory experience required Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and guide staff in a fast paced environment Deep understanding of both residential and commercial loan servicing and closing required Strong working knowledge of loan servicing systems and post closing processes Experience with residential escrow administration, including taxes and insurance Experience with commercial servicing activities such as construction advances, lines of credit, modifications, and subordinations Working familiarity with applicable servicing and compliance requirements Compensation

$65,000 to $75,000 annually. This is an on-site position in Essex, CT.
