
Sr Cabinet Builder

Responsibilities
Build high‑end aircraft cabinetry using veneers, laminates and composite materials.
Provide training and mentorship to cabinet builders.
Interpret customer specification documents and engineering drawings.
Work consistently with aerospace materials.
Bond hinge blocks into panels, set doors, drawers, etc.
Fabricate hardwood bullnose and Corian countertops.
Prepare kerf and fiberglass panels.
Apply adhesives and epoxies to materials.
Build drawers and cabinets on large monuments.
Apply and work with veneer on products.
Lay out and route for switches, cup holders and inlays.
Install inlays.
Lay out and cut materials on the table saw.
Operate CNC and Pin Router machines.
Wear safety equipment and follow safety guidelines, including hazardous materials procedures.
Produce a consistently high‑quality product.
Interpret scheduling requirements and make adjustments as needed.
Maintain shop tools and equipment, keeping the work area neat and organized.
Meet target hours and complete schedules set by supervision.
Train and instruct others.
Maintain regular attendance and full‑shift work.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of four years’ aircraft cabinetry experience.
Ability to lead and motivate team members toward project objectives.
Ability to share lessons learned and company processes with new employees.
Strong communication skills at all levels.
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Mathematical knowledge for problem solving with decimals and fractions.
Identify and operate appropriate tools for assigned tasks.
Understand adhesive and epoxy applications.
Read measuring instruments.
Label parts correctly for re‑assembly.
Build shop aids.
Fabricate small sheet‑metal parts (angles, clips, brackets).
Manufacture items needed for final assembly adjustments (shims, blocks).
Travel as required.
Work outside core business hours if necessary.
Physical & Personal Tool Requirements
Comply with DOT/FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
Climb and work on step stools or ladders.
Lift 25 lbs without assistance; lift up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Reach overhead.
Work in a non‑dust‑free environment.
Normal or corrected vision for precision tasks.
Full range of motion in both hands.
Work in stooping, kneeling, standing, or cramped positions.
Obtain personal tools (hammer, chisel, pliers, tape measure, etc.) within six months of employment.
Use shop machinery safely after proper instruction.
