
Mortgage Loan Processor

The Mortgage Loan Processor provides support to a Loan Officer by reviewing the accuracy of mortgage applications from time of submission to processing through closing.
Responsibilities
Processes complex loans such as self-employed income, condos and portfolio loan products.
Manage a large pipeline of applications while meeting required service level agreements.
Responsible for documenting all communication and status updates in LOS.
May order or facilitate ordering for Third-Party documents, responsible for follow up until received.
Reviews all required documents, such as borrower documents, D/U & LP findings, title and HOI for submission to UW for final approval.
Validate all documents required by underwriting are present, accurately indexed and meet the stated underwriter requirements and all data fields are completed accurately.
Serve as primary point of contact, providing customers or Loan Officer with timely and periodic status updates of their loan application, returning all inquiry calls within service level agreement.
Accept incoming phone calls.
Make outbound phone calls to follow up on outstanding documents and provide updates on loan status.
Monitor and respond to incoming emails.
Monitor and respond to incoming voicemails.
Document all communication.
Role Requirements
This is not a remote role, in office work is required with shift hours from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm EST.
Basic Qualifications
3 years of mortgage loan processing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
NMLS licensed
Encompass experience
Professional Skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle heavy workload and meet multiple stringent deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to interact effectively with all customers, both internal and external.
Solid knowledge and understanding of state regulations.
Outstanding knowledge of loan underwriting documentation requirements.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory, investor and departmental lending policies of conventional loan applications.
Detail oriented, possessing excellent organizational, analytical and decision-making skills.
