Marketing Assistant – Job Description

Key Responsibilities Marketing & Administrative Support
Provide administrative support including research, data collection, report preparation, and information requests
Create, edit, and maintain presentations, reports, and marketing materials
Proofread and edit content for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and brand consistency
Assist in developing proposals, presentations, and sales materials
Maintain organized project files, schedules, and documentation
Event Planning & Coordination
Plan, coordinate, and execute division events, including:
Annual Food Show
Holiday Shows
Division Sales Meetings
Warehouse & Transportation Appreciation Banquet
Manage event logistics, timelines, materials, and vendor coordination
Support promotional purchasing and distribution of marketing materials
Marketing Execution & Content Creation
Assist in executing marketing strategies, campaigns, and initiatives
Support development and distribution of point‑of‑sale materials, promotions, and sales reports
Create and publish content, including YouTube and digital platforms
Assist with copywriting, graphic design, and photo/video editing
Coordinate customer photoshoots for their websites and menus
Help design digital publications (e.g., quarterly magazine)
Collaboration & Communication
Work cross‑functionally with sales, marketing, and purchasing teams
Maintain strong internal and external communications
Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and social media activity
Support brand consistency across all channels and materials
Project Management
Create and manage project plans, task lists, timelines, and agendas
Utilize tools such as Monday.com, JotForm, Campaign Monitor, and Microsoft Forms
Assist with special projects and campaigns as assigned

Understanding of brand voice and audience engagement

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or 1–3 years of relevant experience
Experience with marketing operations, digital marketing, and content creation
Intermediate to advanced skills in graphic design, photo/video editing, and copywriting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premier Pro
Ability to present information effectively to internal teams and external audiences
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn
Additional Requirements
Ability to lift 25 lbs or more
Valid driver's license (if driving for company business)
Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies
Regular, reliable attendance required
Work environment includes office setting with occasional warehouse or customer site visits
