Job Description for Willow View Part –Time Worship Leader Position
Job Title: Contemporary Worship Leader
Supervisor: Senior Pastor
Educational Requirements Bachelor’s degree minimum; preferably though not required, in Music, Voice or Instrument, Worship leadership, etc.
Experience Minimum of two years’ experience in Worship Leadership working with a Worship Team of musicians and vocalists.
Skills Required
Genuine commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit in leading people to fully engage in worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Ability to read and offer arrangement suggestions for musical arrangements in preparing the Worship set.
Ability to prepare, organize and lead productive practice sessions.
General knowledge of sound mixing, equipment, etc.
Team player. Willing to take suggestions from Senior Pastor.
Enjoy working with others, offering helpful suggestions and affirmation!
Scope Part-time hours – 15 hours per week average
Provide primary Worship Leadership for Sunday mornings at Contemporary Worship Service. Be available to assist with Traditional Service on occasional basis if necessary.
Schedule and coordinate sound and media personnel for primary worship services in conjunction with Sound/Video Technician.
Provide primary Worship Leadership for special Worship Services, including but not limited to: Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Worship, and Christmas Eve, if requested.
Pay based on experience.
