
Taskforce - Director of Finance
Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Moore, OK, United States
Hyatt Shared Service Center provides accounting and customer support for over 200 Hyatt Hotels in North America and Latin America. This role implements strategic financial strategies aligned with business objectives, guides decision‑making and financial planning to drive hotel success and profitability. The position requires 50‑75% travel, based on assignments ranging from one week to several months.
Essential Functions
Lead and mentor the local team on day‑to‑day activities.
Partner with the General Manager and other department leaders to drive strong financial performance and maintain internal controls at the hotel.
Participate actively in necessary meetings, including owners' meetings and budget/forecasting sessions.
Lead the month‑end close process and ensure all balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled each month.
Effectively manage Cash, AP, AR, Purchasing, and GL functions.
Focus on labor management and lead weekly labor meetings.
Re‑forecast monthly revenues and expenses.
Update cash flow forecasts monthly.
Participate in Executive Committee meetings and monthly owner calls to review financial results.
Support internal, external, and government audit requests.
Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values.
Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.
Qualifications Experience
2‑3 years as Assistant Director of Finance in a midsize property OR 1+ years as Director of Finance in a smaller property (major brand hotel)
Analytical and problem‑solving skills with a regard for detail and accuracy
Technical proficiency in Oracle and Hyperion
Adaptable to the time zone of the property; special considerations for Hawaii on a case‑by‑case basis
Education
Bachelor's Degree OR associate's degree with appropriate experience
Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job

Additional Comments and Requirements
To work remotely, you must be able to adhere to our IT requirements, including, but not limited to the following: High Speed Internet service required. Broadband technologies allowed are DSL, Cable, and Fiber‑Optic. All other ISP technologies are not allowed, including cellular based services. Colleagues will be required to provide Hyatt with adequate certification of service from provider (upon request).
