Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits
An Akron, Ohio area Architectural Design Firm is seeking a talented Junior Architectural Designer with 0-3 years of experience who is eager to dive into complex project types, including multifamily housing, hospitality venues, senior living communities, and retail spaces.
Core Responsibilities & Project Involvement:
As a vital member of the design team, you will bridge the gap between creative concepts and technical execution. Your daily impact includes:
Advanced Modeling: Utilizing Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp to produce high-fidelity drawings, 3D models, and design presentations.
Design Support: Assisting project teams with conceptual tasks, programming, and spatial planning for large-scale developments.
Technical Documentation: Contributing to the development of construction documents (CDs), technical detailing, and architectural specifications.
Regulatory Research: Conducting building code research and helping navigate the permit documentation process.
Field Experience: Attending site visits with senior architects to assist with field reports, punch lists, and construction administration.
Project Coordination: Interacting with internal team members and external consultants to ensure seamless project delivery.
Project Management: Helping manage schedules and quality control workflows using Adobe Creative Suite and office management tools.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:
Passionate about constructability and the technical "how" of architecture.
Education: A professional degree (B. Arch or M. Arch) from an accredited program.
Experience: 0–3 years of professional experience; internships or co‑ops in multifamily or retail architecture are a significant plus.
Software Mastery: High proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required.
Design Tools: Working knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe Creative Cloud, and modern visualization software.
Mindset: A detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and a desire to learn project management.
Licensure Track: Progress toward Architectural Registration (NCARB) is highly encouraged and supported.
Additional Requirements:
Candidates may be required to submit to a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
