
Assistant Purchasing Agent

Responsibilities
Place and finalize purchase orders, including offers based on demand and stock position. Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms and ensure compliance. Examine, test, and manage contracts; perform risk management for supply agreements. Collaborate with key stakeholders to clarify specifications and expectations. Track and report procurement metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. Control spending and foster a culture of long-term savings. Manage inventory and forecast demand for assigned product categories. Analyze forecasting errors and implement corrective strategies. Develop cost comparisons and reports to analyze expenditures and inventory. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred. At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles. Strong understanding of purchasing processes and vendor management. Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Familiarity with SAP or ERP software. Benefits
