Overview
Insight Global is looking for a Structural BIM Designer to support a large engineering client in either Raleigh or Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves creating and managing 3D structural models in Revit and producing detailed construction drawings that contractors rely on. You will coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to resolve clashes and contribute to well-integrated project deliverables. You will take ownership of structural layout, modeling, and drawing production. The position offers professional growth through diverse projects within a multidisciplinary design environment.
Responsibilities
Create and manage 3D structural models in Revit.
Produce detailed, accurate construction drawings from models.
Coordinate designs with engineers and other disciplines; resolve clashes.
Take ownership of structural layout, modeling, and drawing production.
Collaborate daily within a multi-discipline design environment.
Qualifications
3+ years of structural design experience
Advanced Revit experience (2+ years)
Experience creating construction documents from models
Experience identifying and resolving clash detection in a multi-disciplinary environment with either ACC (Forma) or Navisworks
Experience coordinating BIM models with other disciplines
Experience supporting water/wastewater, industrial, federal, or mission critical/complex projects and facilities; ability to provide a portfolio or drawing samples demonstrating BIM experience
Experience mentoring/training others
Contract Details This is a six month contract-to-hire position with a hybrid office schedule. The role is expected to work in office 3-4 days per week with flexibility for more WFH days as time goes on. Rate range: $45-$65+ depending on experience and skillsets.
