Full Time Clerical - St. Louis, MO
General Overview The Associate Merchandiser, Omnichannel supports the Sr. Merchandising Manager in executing the merchandising strategy across Rawlings’ direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels—including brand websites, Brand Stores, D‑BAT Pro Shops, and Mobile Hit Labs. This role will assist in managing assortments, analyzing performance, optimizing inventory, and ensuring strong product presentation across all retail touchpoints. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and passionate about delivering a best‑in‑class consumer experience across both physical and digital channels.
Responsibilities
Support the Sr. Merchandising Manager in developing and executing assortment and merchandising strategies for DTC channels.
Assist with assortment management, working with manager on what products to carry forward, mark down, bring in and identify SMU needs.
Analyze weekly and monthly sales, inventory, and margin performance to identify trends and business opportunities.
Partner with cross‑functional teams—including Product, Demand Planning, PAR and Ecommerce—to communicate product needs, timing, and performance updates.
Support the creation of unique (SMU) products in collaboration with the Product and Design teams to fill white in line with market trends in DTC channel.
Work with the Product Specialist to ensure SKU setup inclusive of proper costing, retail and all product information is flowing into E1 and POS properly.
Contribute to building and maintaining the seasonal merchandise calendar and product launch timelines.
Work with PAR team to identify key items to ensure we are flowing demand forecast properly reporting that informs future buys and assortment planning.
Work with manager to monitor and maintain online merchandising inclusive of product details, imagery, descriptions, searchability etc. to ensure an optimized customer experience.
Assist in visual merchandising plans and floor set execution for brand stores, D‑BAT Pro Shops, and Mobile Hit Labs.
Partner with Planning team to gather data insights and support reporting and decision making on key metrics such as sales, sell‑through, in‑stock rate, and inventory turn.
Support markdown and promotional planning efforts to achieve sales and margin goals.
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned to support the Omnichannel team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or planning (preferably in sporting goods, retail, or consumer products).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with proficiency in Excel and retail math.
Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems; experience with JD Edwards a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Collaborative team player with a proactive, can‑do attitude.
