Job Overview User Experience Designer – Finance Platforms. The Finance Platforms team is seeking a Mid-Career User Experience Designer to help lead the next phase of a large-scale digital transformation. This role focuses on designing future-ready, user-centered digital experiences across mobile applications and responsive web platforms in a highly complex, data-driven B2B financial services environment.

This position is ideal for a passionate designer and collaborative team player who thrives on solving complex problems, simplifying data-heavy interfaces, and delivering intuitive digital experiences from concept through execution.

What You’ll Do

Design intuitive, future-ready digital experiences across mobile, tablet, and responsive web platforms.

Lead UX efforts end-to-end, from discovery and concept through delivery and optimization.

Solve complex design challenges across multiple platforms, systems, and data sources.

Collaborate closely with product, engineering, research, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure cohesive and aligned digital experiences.

Create and maintain UX deliverables, including:

Low- and high-fidelity wireframes

User flows, sitemaps, and taxonomies

Journey maps and annotated interaction specifications

Visual mockups (as needed)

Maintain UX governance and design consistency across web, mobile, and tablet experiences.

Advocate for user-centered, accessibility-first, and compliant design practices.

Communicate and present design rationale clearly to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Core Responsibilities & Skills

Lead end-to-end UX design initiatives with confidence and ownership.

Produce detailed UX artifacts including wireframes, flows, journey maps, and interaction specifications.

Design for complex, data-driven systems and enterprise-scale financial workflows.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality design output.

Collaborate effectively in agile and iterative development environments.

Facilitate or actively participate in collaborative whiteboarding and design workshops.

Advocate UX best practices to cross-functional product and development teams.

Understand responsive, adaptive, and mobile platform constraints.

Apply accessibility standards to ensure inclusive and compliant design.

Deliver compelling design storytelling and presentations to stakeholders.

Work effectively with distributed and virtual teams, including offshore collaboration.

Be open to occasional travel (up to 10%) for user research and stakeholder engagement.

Tools & Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Figma; experience with Axure is a plus.

Working knowledge of how design translates into code across devices and platforms.

Familiarity with Atomic Design principles and scalable design systems.

Experience conducting UX research and applying insights to design decisions.

Accessibility training or certification preferred.

Additional Experience Preferred

Experience designing platforms for financial services, FinTech, banking, payments, or investment products.

Strong experience in B2B SaaS and data-heavy, workflow-driven applications.

Mobile UX experience is highly valued.

Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.

Pay And Benefits $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
