Camp Director
CHRISTIAN CAMP AND CONFERENCE ASSOCIATION, Hayes, VA, United States
Seeking someone with camp ministry experience and a heart for at‑risk children and youth to serve as our Camp David Kansas Camp Director. Camp David Kansas works with foster kids and children of prisoners to empower them to see their place in God’s kingdom, to hear His voice, and to develop meaningful lasting connections with others along the way.
The ministry is located on a 61‑acre property. There are three dorm‑style buildings for staff and campers to stay in (each building sleeps 27, plus a living‑room area with couches and kitchens). A large two‑story building houses a commercial kitchen, auditorium, several small rooms for breakout sessions or staff planning, and an activity center in the basement that includes a small rock‑climbing wall, ping‑pong tables, foosball, and toys. The property also includes a pool, fishing pond, equine therapy, a ropes‑course space, outdoor amphitheater, volleyball and basketball courts, archery, and more.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

Be spiritually mature, not a novice, and seek the Lord’s will in every aspect of life
Agree with Camp David International’s Articles of Faith
Be active in a local church and have leadership experience
Be a self‑starter with the ability to motivate and supervise others
Value “striving for excellence” in everything you do
Safeguard the trust and relationships at camp from grumbling, gossip, and backbiting
Be willing to learn and implement camp systems and train others to do the same
Employment will depend on successful completion of a background check.
