We’re a 2.5 years old company looking to make our 7th hire. You’ll have a big role in shaping the direction and culture of our company. As the 7th hire, the upside potential is immense as you will grow with the company
Position Overview As an insurance sales representative, you will support and grow a book of surety/insurance business by helping contractors and business owners secure bid, performance, and license bonds. You’ll work directly with senior producers and underwriters to evaluate accounts, submit applications, and manage client relationships through the bonding process.
This role is ideal for someone with at least one year of insurance or surety experience who is eager to deepen their expertise in underwriting, client relations, and bond placement.
Key Responsibilities
Convert inbound leads into sales by quickly responding via text, phone, or email to customers who have requested a quote on our website
Communicate directly with inbound prospects to explain bonding requirements, terms, and next steps
Gather bond application, financial statements, work-in-progress reports, and other underwriting information for bond underwriting
Maintain customer's account information in Salesforce, documenting conversations in activity log, sending confirmations to customers, and adhering to all other automation procedures
Perform clerical and administrative tasks related to bond / insurance servicing; e.g. sending bond forms / certificate of insurance to customers, indemnity form signature requests, submitting invoices / taking payment, and processing general bond rider / insurance endorsement requests
Learn and apply underwriting guidelines to qualify accounts and identify growth opportunities
Provide meaningful input to our product & engineering team to improve our product
Qualifications
Integrity: Demonstrate the highest level of integrity and ethical standards in all client, carrier, and internal interactions.
Licensed: At least 1+ year of experience in commercial insurance or surety bonds. Having Property & Casualty insurance license is required for this role
Ambitious: Achieving your goals often requires beyond the 40 hour work week, but you’re willing to do what it takes to excel. You don't watch the clock when you are working towards your goals.

Compensations
Total Compensation ~$60,000 per year
Additional bonus available based on performance
