Remote/Home Office - Montgomery County and Prince George County.
The Regional Account Manager (RAM), Outdoor Living Products (OL) reports to the District Sales Manager and works with a regional team of sellers. The OL RAM has the responsibility of owning downstream contractor demand for decking products within an assigned segment. The role is responsible for defending business, gaining customer wallet share, while driving material conversion and growing market share, expanding premium product adoption. The role regularly executes district plans and partners with Channel Manager and field teams to convert demand into sustained territory growth.
What You’ll Do:
Identify opportunities to expand product adoption, increase share of wallet, and introduce new solutions that align with customer needs.
Defend business by maintaining strong, long‑term relationships with key customer accounts through consistent engagement, responsiveness, and value‑added support.
Serve as the key partner for both assigned customers (dealers/distributors) and market stakeholders (builders, architects, contractors), ensuring partnership, satisfaction and loyalty.
Develop structured account plans and execute growth targets for each key account; conduct regular business reviews to assess goals, performance, challenges, and future needs.
Translate customer feedback into internal recommendations for product, pricing, service or process improvements.
Maintain account profiles, activity logs and pipeline opportunities in CRM tools; use data to forecast performance, identify trends and prioritize actions.
Engage market stakeholders to generate downstream demand for exteriors products across assigned customers; enable cross‑selling to support Channel Managers.
Build long‑term relationships through ongoing account engagement and tailored product solutions, while driving material conversion and supporting other regional growth priorities.
What You’ll Bring:
Sales Expertise:
Willingness and ability to cultivate relationships, grow networks, nurture leads and passion to identify targets; ability to negotiate and collaborate with business leaders; strong understanding of sales processes, funnel management and sales practices; knowledge of market segmentation and go‑to‑market strategies; familiar with CRM systems for organization and planning.
Business Consultation:
Strong business/financial acumen, preferably regarding the construction industry; understanding of builder/dealer/installer financials and market dynamics to advise partners for mutual growth.
Communication/Influence:
Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders, advocate for JHBP, build relationships at all levels, present to large groups and convey messages effectively; familiar with key communication tools.
Building Products Knowledge:
Familiar with basic construction practices and residential construction process; ability to learn James Hardie product lines, features, applications, installation considerations and value drivers across residential and commercial projects.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

3+ years of progressive sales experience with high organization, discipline and self‑structure, preferably within the building products industry.

CRM Experience:
1+ years working with a Customer Relationship Management system (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.).
Travel
Requirement:
Ability to travel outside of local market up to 20% of the time.
Driver’s License:
Valid driver’s license; employment contingent upon maintaining a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record that meets the company’s driving eligibility standards.

Competitive salary ranging from $82,700 to $110,300 based on experience, skills and geography; bonus eligibility.
