Description
We are seeking a part time social media content creator for the 2026-2027 school year, beginning September 8, 2026. There is an option for this role to begin Monday, June 15 and last through Friday, August 14 as a summer camp photographer and content creator at 20-40 hours per week.
This is a 10-month, part-time assignment. Standard work hours, benefits, and paid time off as per the Faculty/Staff Handbook.

The Candidate
The PT Social Media Content Creator is a strategic, hands‑on content creator responsible for elevating Stevens Cooperative School’s social media presence in support of enrollment, brand visibility and institutional priorities. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Social Media Content Creator collaborates with the Communications team, students, faculty and staff to tell timely, compelling stories that reflect the vibrancy of daily life at Stevens and engage current families, prospective families, students and alumni.
SUMMER CAMP OPPORTUNITY: There is an option for this role to begin Monday, June 15 and last through Friday, August 14 as a full‑time summer camp photographer and short‑form content creator at 20-40 hours per week. The role would resume when the 2026 school year begins in September.
Primary Responsibilities
Plan, script, shoot, and edit high‑quality photography and short‑form video content (TikToks, Reels, YouTube)
Develop, write, and proofread social media content and captions that align with the school’s voice.
Produce two short‑form videos weekly
Stay up‑to‑date with social media trends to keep content relevant.
Capture and highlight academics, athletics, arts, boarding life, faculty, school spirit and community events.
Collaborate with school departments and student groups to source and develop content
Perform other related and all school duties as assigned, including flexibility for afterschool and weekend hours as assigned and needed.
Summer Camp Responsibilities
Collaborate with camp administration to source and develop content
Capture and highlight camp activities including field trips, group projects and themed events.
Curate and upload summer camp photography to Vidigami platform daily.
Requirements
Compelling video, photography, writing and storytelling skills
Proficiency with major social media platforms
Experience with content creation tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut).
Organized and deadline‑driven.
Collaborative, self‑motivated, and able to build relationships and work effectively with diverse groups of students, colleagues and community members.
Enthusiasm for the Stevens mission and community.
Work 6 weekly hours over 30 weeks, depending on content creation schedule:
While school is in session (8 a.m. – 3 p.m.)
Afterschool (3 p.m. – 6 p.m.)
Certain evening events (6:30 – 8:30 p.m.)
Salary & Benefits $20 per hour; 6 hours per week
