Description Davies North America is seeking an experienced Multi-Line Field Adjuster who will be responsible for handling a mix of property and liability field assignments, including inspections, scene investigations, damage documentation, and claim reporting across NY, NJ and PA. The role includes residential and commercial property losses, scope review, damage assessment, estimate support, and liability investigations with bodily injury or general liability claim handling.
This role is ideal for a field professional who can investigate losses, inspect sites, document findings, evaluate damages and exposures, and communicate effectively with insureds, claimants, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
Compensation:
100% commission‑based role with 42% commission supported by a bi‑weekly draw of $1500.00.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct on‑site inspections and field investigations for assigned claims
Inspect property, structures, vehicles, equipment, or accident scenes as required
Document damages, conditions, causation indicators, and other relevant findings through notes, measurements, photographs, and diagrams
Evaluate loss facts and support investigation of coverage, liability, damages, and exposure
Obtain statements from insureds, claimants, witnesses, or other involved parties when needed
Prepare timely, accurate, and well‑documented reports for clients and internal stakeholders
Coordinate with examiners, managers, carriers, policyholders, vendors, attorneys, and other claim participants as needed
Maintain complete file documentation in accordance with company standards, client instructions, and regulatory expectations
Escalate complex issues, large‑loss exposures, litigation indicators, or specialty claim concerns appropriately
Manage field assignments within service expectations, turnaround times, and quality standards
Travel throughout the assigned NJ/NY/PA territory as required
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
3+ years of field adjusting or related claims experience
Active adjuster license(s) as required by New York, New Jersey, or other assigned jurisdictions
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to travel locally and regionally within the assigned territory
Strong documentation, organizational, and time‑management skills
Comfort using claims platforms, mobile documentation tools, and estimating/reporting systems
Experience handling field claims in property, liability, or both
Ability to work independently while managing deadlines, territory activity, and service expectations
Strong investigative mindset with high attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional presence when interacting with insureds, claimants, attorneys, vendors, and carrier representatives
Ability to manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities in a fast‑paced field environment
Experience in both property and liability claims handling
Multi‑line field experience
Experience with commercial property, residential property, general liability, casualty, bodily injury, or transportation‑related claims
Experience with estimating platforms such as Xactimate
Carrier certifications and multi‑state licensing
Bilingual capabilities are a plus
