POSITION OVERVIEW: The Lock Desk Specialist supports the daily operations of the Lock Desk by accurately pricing loans, managing lock changes, and ensuring compliance with company policies. This role requires strong mathematical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, effective communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, reporting to the Pricing and Product Manager in Capital Markets within Secondary Marketing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following responsibilities, but not limited to: Support the daily operational flow of the Lock Desk and ensure that locks received from clients are priced accurately, meet program guidelines, and follow company-defined policies and procedures. Coordinate change requests on existing rate locks including (but not limited to) loan parameter changes, lock extensions, relocks, and rate renegotiations. Respond to all email and phone inquiries within required turn times. Participate in other projects including (but not limited to) improvement and development of pricing system methodologies. Maintain a series of pipeline reports for upper management. Support other positions in Secondary Marketing as needed. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Previous Lock Desk experience or a working knowledge of mortgage loan programs, guidelines, and pricing. High mathematical aptitude. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with focus in Excel. Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and handle time related pressure. Possess superb follow up skills with ability to analyze situations quickly. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Strong integrity and confidentiality required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct Reports N /A PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS This role operates in an ADA compliant office environment, utilizing typical office equipment and tasks including computer work. The position may involve partial stationary positions and moving throughout the day. Flexibility to work overtime to meet project deadlines is required. Base Compensation Information For residents of the states of CA & CO, and for N Y + other areas requiring disclosure: CMG pays a competitive base which ranges from $ 55,000 - $ 65,000. Factors that affect salary may include previous Lock Desk experience, number of years worked in the mortgage industry, types of roles performed, computer skills, customer service experience specific to working with mortgage lenders, and education.
