
Account Manager- Commercial Lines

Overview We’re a full-service independent insurance agency seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused professional to support our Insurance Producers in the sales and service of Commercial Lines accounts. In this role, you’ll be responsible for servicing client accounts, including new business implementation, renewals, and ongoing account support. You’ll build a deep understanding of each client’s coverage needs while navigating carrier rating programs and underwriting guidelines, and play a critical part in marketing, placing, and servicing both new and renewal business. Delivering timely, accurate, and high-quality service to clients and internal partners is essential. This is a hybrid position offering both in-office and remote flexibility.
Responsibilities Manage renewals end-to-end, including early strategy (120+ days out) with Producers
Support new business marketing, placement, and account growth/retention
Communicate with clients, carriers, and internal teams to service accounts and resolve issues
Prepare submissions, proposals, and client-facing materials
Review exposures and coverage; provide practical recommendations
Process and review policies, endorsements, audits, and policy changes for accuracy
Issue binders and certificates; maintain organized certificate records
Collect loss runs (LPRs) and support audit-related communications
Maintain accurate documentation in ImageRight and the agency management system
Assist with billing, receivables, and collections alongside Producers
Ensure compliance by gathering required documentation
Track key client data (e.g., schedules, certificates, equipment lists)
Escalate non-renewals and key issues to Producers
Support additional tasks as needed
Requirements Active Property & Casualty Insurance License
Minimum of 3+ years of Commercial Lines insurance experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Office 365)
Experience with Applied Epic (required)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement
