
Account Manager- Commercial Lines

We are a full‑service independent insurance agency seeking an experienced Customer Service professional to support our Insurance Producers in the sales and service of Commercial Lines accounts. This role requires strong knowledge of coverage, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will be well‑versed in carrier rating programs, underwriting guidelines, and the marketing and placement of both new and renewal business.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Producers to develop new business, close opportunities, and retain existing accounts
Ensure all required documentation meets agency and carrier compliance standards
Support the marketing and placement of new and renewal business
Assist with negotiating policy terms, payment arrangements, and securing finance contracts
Prepare professional proposals, spreadsheets, and client documentation
Evaluate client operations and exposures through detailed coverage reviews
Participate in client presentations and outreach efforts as needed
Review policies, endorsements, audits, experience mods, and classifications; recommend corrections as needed
Develop and maintain client spreadsheets (certificates, drivers, property schedules, equipment lists, etc.)
Issue binders and initiate certificates and related documentation
Proactively manage renewals, including reviews with Producers 120 days prior to expiration
Communicate carrier and client issues to Producers in a timely manner
Manage accounts receivable and collections; review balances monthly with Producers
Requirements
Experience with Applied EPIC agency management systems preferred
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
