Cart Assistant

The City of Greer is currently accepting applications for a Cart Assistant at our golf course in the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department. Responsibilities:

Prepares golf carts for daily use by customers Greets customers and assists with loading and unloading equipment on carts Cleans and washes carts after each use Cleans balls, and prepares for re-use Repairs divots on the course as needed Maintains cleanliness of putting green Cleans paths, sidewalks, parking lots, and exterior of clubhouse Provides relative information regarding golf course conditions, local rules, expected playing time, golf course safety, emergency procedures, golf course etiquette, and other golf related issues Assists players as necessary with carts, scorecards, and rules of play Maintains clean and orderly appearance of the starter's area at all times Provides emergency assistance to golfers as necessary Reminds golfers to replace divots, repair ball marks, and rake sand traps Replenishes water in drinking containers on course Assists Pro Shop staff in preparing for and running tournaments, clinics, and other special events. Additional duties include performing general administrative tasks as required, participating in required training and continuing education, assisting other officers and staff when workload, emergencies, or special assignments require, staying current on departmental policies, procedures, and processes, completing work accurately, safely, and efficiently; maintaining assigned equipment in good working condition, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area, identifying and reporting suggested improvements or areas of concern to the Supervisor, ensuring professionalism and excellent customer service in all interactions while representing the City of Greer, demonstrating strong ethical conduct, integrity, and accountability with coworkers, customers, and the community, supporting a culture of results, communication, and professional collaboration within the department and across the organization, representing the department at community events or meetings when requested by the Supervisor, adhering to the Employee Handbook and all applicable policies and procedures, maintaining regular, reliable attendance, and performing other duties as assigned. Hours:

Shifts are morning (7am - 1pm) or evening (3pm - 9pm), on all seven days of the week; up to 25 hours per week Salary:
