Job Description
The Director serves a key role on the Versant Production & Distribution Finance team, reporting to the Director of Production & Distribution Finance and acting as an operational finance support partner to the Technology & Engineering team. This role offers extensive visibility with Versant leadership and the opportunity to shape and manage operations for a newly formed media company.
The Production & Distribution Finance team provides full operational finance support to the President of Operations & Technology, enabling strategic decisions for the setup of Versant Operations & Technology and delivering ongoing financial support for day‑to‑day operations and long‑term initiatives. The Director of Technology & Engineering Finance specifically supports Operations Leaders, managing expenses and capital projects exceeding $150M for a team of 600+ full‑time employees.
Responsibilities
Support the President of Operations & Technology and Operations Leadership in strategic decisions for new technical and operational solutions.
Provide ongoing operational finance support for the Technology & Engineering team, including company‑wide technology support, engineering infrastructure, satellite operations, vendor relationships, and broader operational finance.
Track technology & engineering operating expenses and allocate capital spend in collaboration with Operations & Technology Finance/Ops teams and Versant Corporate FP&A.
Partner with Versant Corporate FP&A on forecasting, budgets, long‑range plans, in‑year pacing, and ad‑hoc financial analysis for the Operations & Technology organization and specifically for Technology & Engineering Operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting and a minimum of 7 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
Solid project management skills.
Proven execution focus with the ability to multi‑task and support wide‑ranging business initiatives.
Desired Characteristics
Previous experience in media and entertainment highly preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work and communicate effectively at all levels.
Comfortable with a culture of adaptability and continuous refinement of roles and processes.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
Hybrid This position is designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week, subject to change based on manager discussion or business need.

Salary Range $135,000 - $160,000 (bonus eligible).
