Director of Donor Engagement & Annual Giving - Remote with regular travel within IA, MN, ND, NE, and SD Pay The anticipated salary range for this position is $82,000-$95,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant work experience, the skills required for the role, internal equity, market competitiveness, and budget considerations. We are committed to ensuring fair and competitive pay for all employees.

Schedule Full-time. Shift times: Monday - Friday within 8am - 5pm, some flexibility. Evenings and weekends required for events.

Location Remote.

Job type Salaried/Exempt.

Travel At least once per month, overnight travel within IA, MN, ND, NE, and SD.

Job Summary Under immediate supervision of the Associate Vice President of Development, the Director of Donor Engagement & Annual Giving is responsible for leading key collaborative teams in the design, implementation, and evaluation of an affiliate-wide, comprehensive annual giving and donor engagement program to maximize giving and communicate and celebrate the impact of philanthropy. This position sets the strategic direction, alignment, and integration of stewardship and donor engagement, direct response, and events programs that raise approximately $4-$5 million annually. The Director of Donor Engagement & Annual Giving is an advocate in implementing our mission of "Advancing and protecting sexual and reproductive healthcare for all." They may perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

5 years of fundraising experience with demonstrated experience in annual giving, events, and/or donor engagement and stewardship programs

2 years of supervisory experience

Strong writer and experience with fundraising communications

Strong support for the mission and goals of Planned Parenthood is essential

Your Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

Lead the creation, implementation, and evaluation of annual donor communications, appeals, stewardship, and events to grow the overall donor and elevate annual giving to help achieve fundraising goals.

Inspire greater support from the PPNCS donors at all levels by creating and facilitating stewardship programs and impact reporting for major, principal, and transformational level donors.

Supervise Donor Engagement, Annual Giving, Stewardship, and Events staff and foster a collaborative, integrated team environment.

Lead the development of innovative donor engagement strategies that create a cohesive and compelling journey to secure gift upgrades, improve retention, and maximize lifetime giving.

Drive annual planning for donor experience programs and work collaboratively with Communications staff to ensure all donor‑centric messaging aligns with the organization's brand and integrates strategic Foundation messaging.

Oversee production of donor communications using a multi‑channel approach including direct mail, email and digital.

Measure, monitor, and report on key performance indicators, analyze organizational giving trends, and collaborate across the Foundation to drive innovation in donor experience programs.

Contribute to the Foundations planning process, guiding development of goals and initiatives and delivery of measurable outcomes that advance the department and support the organization's strategic initiatives.
