This role combines strategic architecture vision with hands‑on leadership, vendor collaboration, coaching, governance, and cross‑functional influence.
Our ideal candidate is a builder, simplifier, and forward‑looking architect who can leverage business priorities and strategic differentiation to define patterns that deliver results. You thrive in complexity, communicate clearly, and elevate the teams around you.
Key Responsibilities
Own the EA strategy, operating framework, and roadmap
Mature EA function including design principles, governance, processes, repositories, and templates
Develop and maintain enterprise‑wide capability maps, domain maps, and reference architectures aligned to business goals
Act as design partner, not just a gatekeeper – roll up your sleeves to support complex / major programs where architecture clarity is critical
Operate design authorities; review and approve architectures for major initiatives
Embed patterns and standards into delivery ways of working and coaching mechanisms
Translate emerging tech experiments into a pragmatic POV to the organization, enabling enterprise‑ready patterns, guardrails, and architectural recommendations
Collaborate with IT leadership team to define technology strategy by influencing investment decisions and system modernization priorities
Mentor architects, application teams, and business stakeholders
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience significantly maturing an EA function with 10+ years in enterprise and solution architecture
Hands‑on technical experience leading large‑scale digital transformation
Understanding of core technologies (ERP, CRM, PLM, MDM, Integration / Middleware, etc. with strong SAP ERP background including S/4HANA experience)
Understanding of DevOps practices including branching strategies, CI / CD pipelines, test automation, and release orchestration across an integrated ecosystem of applications
Understanding of security and vulnerability management best practices
Strong experience in large, global, multi‑system environments with complex process and integration landscapes
Preferred experience in Fortune 500 industrial / services domains
Curiosity for emerging technologies
Strong vendor management passion and acumen
Excellent communication skills & proven ability to influence stakeholders in complex environments
Flexible Work Options We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone. In this role, we can confidently offer the following flexible working patterns:
Remote working where appropriate subject to the demands and needs of the role.
Working flexible hours – flexing the times when you work in the day to help you fit in everything and work when you are the most productive.
Benefits
Generous annual leave and money to spend on wellbeing activities.
Life assurance and income protection.
Private medical cover.
A defined contributory savings plan.
Additional elected benefits.
You will be eligible to participate in Company‑sponsored benefit programs, including health & welfare programs and the Thrift Plan (401k). You will have a choice of coverage options that best suit your needs. Coverage options and contribution amounts are related to your benefit elections, base salary level, and specific requirements of each of these plans.
This position is eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package, and additional compensation such as bonuses may also be available.
