What You'll Do: As an Electrical Designer at Peter Basso Associates, you'll join project teams working with top architects, contractors, and facility owners across diverse markets—education, healthcare, research, institutional, multi-family, and mixed-use. You'll apply creative solutions to complex challenges and contribute to projects from concept through construction.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience designing any of the following electrical systems:
Power Distribution Systems, including medium and low voltage distribution systems, standby power applications, load calculations, short circuit and coordination studies, arc flash hazard.
Lighting Systems, including calculations, lighting controls, luminaire selections and architecturally integrated lighting systems.
Auxiliary Systems, including fire alarm systems, voice/data structured cabling systems, access control, CCTV and other low voltage systems design.
Associate's degree or studies toward a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an Engineering‑related curriculum from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial building systems design.
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
Ability to work together with the project manager, discipline lead engineer and all team members on assigned engineering tasks assuring technical expectations, schedule and manpower budgets are met.
Knowledge of all design disciplines coordination required and the impact on the project.
Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
Team‑oriented problem‑solving skills and decision‑making ability.
Detail oriented, self‑motivated, and flexible.
