Position Summary This role supports the design, administration, and ongoing management of BayCare’s Benefits, Retirement, and Wellness programs. The position helps ensure all programs align with BayCare’s benefits philosophy and comply with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA requirements. This role also supports daily department operations, vendor coordination, audits, reporting, and team member communications.
Because this position supports the BayCare Health System Medical Plan, it is considered part of the Health Plan for HIPAA purposes.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of benefits, retirement, and wellness programs
Ensure regulatory compliance with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA reporting requirements
Conduct audits related to financial liabilities and benefits programs
Analyze healthcare data, including claims, encounter data, and financial reports
Act as a liaison between the Benefits Department and external vendors
Support the development and updates of team member benefits communications
Assist leadership with day‑to‑day operations of the Benefits department
Perform additional duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Six (6) years of experience in benefits administration
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of healthcare benefit programs and financial trends
Experience analyzing healthcare data, including claims and financial reporting
Ability to interpret regulatory and compliance requirements
Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
