Summary The IT Enterprise Architect leads the strategic design and implementation of enterprise-wide technology architecture at Onvida Health. This role ensures alignment of IT systems with business goals, enabling scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. The Enterprise Architect drives standardization, integration, and innovation by defining technical roadmaps and reference models that support long-term organizational success.
Responsibilities
Develops and maintains the enterprise architecture strategy, standards, and frameworks.
Ensures that all technology platforms are integrated, scalable, and aligned with business capabilities and goals. Provides architectural oversight for new technology initiatives and modernizations.
Translates business and clinical requirements into enterprise-level technical solutions.
Partners with stakeholders across IS and business units to align technology strategy with clinical, operational, and financial objectives. Recommends innovative and cost-effective architecture approaches.
Provides governance and guidance on technology investments, ensuring architectural integrity.
Reviews major technology projects for architectural compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with enterprise goals. Facilitates architectural review board sessions and decision-making processes.
Leads the development of current and future-state architecture models.
Identifies gaps between “as-is” and “to-be” environments and defines actionable transition plans. Supports application portfolio rationalization and infrastructure modernization efforts.
Collaborates with cybersecurity, infrastructure, data, and application teams to ensure cohesive design.
Advocates for secure‑by‑design principles and embeds privacy and security into architectural planning. Integrates cloud, data, and cybersecurity architectures to enable reliable operations.
Evaluates emerging technologies and trends for strategic relevance and adoption.
Conducts ongoing environmental scans to assess innovations and recommend their adoption where business value is clear. Leads proof‑of‑concept pilots to validate new technologies.
Facilitates architectural knowledge sharing across technical and non‑technical audiences.
Develops architectural artifacts, diagrams, and documentation that foster understanding and transparency. Conducts stakeholder briefings, executive updates, and technical deep dives as needed.
Supports enterprise strategic planning by aligning IT capabilities with business outcomes.
Contributes architectural insight to capital planning, vendor selection, and digital transformation initiatives. Ensures IT decisions reinforce long-term agility and operational excellence.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (master’s degree or certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect preferred)
7+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, infrastructure, or applications
3+ years of leadership in cross‑functional IT strategy or systems integration
3+ years of experience in a healthcare delivery environment preferred
