The Graphic Design Intern supports Skylight Music Theatre’s marketing and communications team in developing visual materials that promote productions, events, and institutional initiatives.
Key Internship Responsibilities
Assist in designing digital and print marketing materials Resize and adapt artwork for multiple platforms (web, social, email, print) Prepare and organize files for production Maintain visual consistency with brand standards Assist with basic photo editing and image selection Organize and maintain design assets Internship Qualifications
Current student in Graphic Design, Marketing & Advertising, or related field Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Strong attention to detail and organization Understanding of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy Willingness to seek creative feedback and work collaboratively Unpaid internship with complimentary tickets and staff discounts to the upcoming season Flexible hours and hybrid schedule from May – August 2026 Reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications Portfolio-building, hands-on performing arts and non-profit experience About the Marketing & Communications Department
Manages brand standards, voice, and overall creative direction Develops and places digital and print advertising campaigns Produces marketing materials for productions and institutional initiatives Manages on-site and off-site events with community and arts partners Supports Artistic, Production, and Education departments through promotion and audience engagement Due Date
