Pharma Field Sales – Rare Blood Community Liaison – Florida Puerto Rico Facility: Commercial Marketing

About the Department The Rare Disease organization leads all U.S. commercial efforts for Novo Nordisk’s Rare Disease portfolio, including medical treatments, customer solutions, and devices across Therapy Areas such as Rare Bleeding Disorders, Rare Endocrine Disorders, Rare Renal Disorders, and Hemoglobinopathies. The team collaborates with Clinical Development, Research & Early Development, other affiliates, and Global HQ.

The Position Attends and assists with planning events held by patient organizations in the territory, represents Novo Nordisk at selected national events, collaborates with Market Access and Government Affairs on advocacy, cultivates relationships with patients, caregivers, and community stakeholders, maintains relationships with patient organizations, shares insights with Rare Disease leadership, and acts as point of contact between patients and NovoCare.

Relationships Member of Community Engagement Field Force, interacts with Rare Blood Marketing, reports directly to the Rare Blood Community Liaison Leader and collaborates with other Rare Blood Community Liaisons and NNI functions, including Government Affairs.

Essential Functions

Develop direct relationships with patients, caregivers, and hemophilia community members including patient organizations, chapters, and advocacy groups.

Execute patient and caregiver educational meetings and exhibits at chapter events, home care meetings, patient conventions, and community activities about hemophilia and Novo Nordisk products and services.

Plan and conduct meetings with state and local chapters to educate stakeholders on Novo Nordisk products and services.

Promote Novo Nordisk hemophilia products and services to the hemophilia community.

Coordinate with Community Engagement Leadership and Marketing to share insights and improve offerings.

Coordinate with other RBCLs to prepare internal communications for the Rare Disease team.

Ensure all communications are HIPAA compliant.

Identify opportunities for increased presence and engagement with home office support.

Deepen relationships with state and local advocacy organizations and engage Government Affairs when necessary.

Represent Novo Nordisk at local and national hemophilia events.

Support planning for community fundraising activities.

Direct community questions to the appropriate Novo Nordisk channel.

Utilize discretionary budget to maximize impact on community engagement.

Act as the primary liaison (SPOC) between patients/caregivers and NovoCare, proactively educating patients on support services and coordinating communication about support status.

Physical Requirements 75–90% overnight travel required; must maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with Novo Nordisk Motor Vehicle Records thresholds.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of relevant experience (e.g., hemophilia care, advocacy, B2B or pharmaceutical sales, with a preference for pharmaceutical sales). Marketing or clinical experience is preferred.
