
Associate Director - LEC Financial Reporting

Apollo is a high‑growth, global alternative asset manager that delivers excess return across the risk‑reward spectrum. As part of the Legal Entity Controller (LEC) team, you will manage accounting, journal entries and monthly analytics for management companies and advisory entities, and support reporting for Apollo Capital Solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure proper accounting treatment for all management company and advisory entity transactions.
Coordinate with deal professionals, accounting policy, senior management, and other teams on strategic investments.
Manage a controlled and fluid reporting platform with strategic partners.
Facilitate monthly and quarterly ACS transaction fee and revenue share preparation and reporting; manage GAAP/Non‑GAAP requirements related to ACS revenue recognition and organization.
Advance and improve workflow for GAAP to Non‑GAAP reconciliation and FRE exclusion, focusing on automation and process streamlining.
Contribute to the quarterly pending deal process ensuring allocations across Apollo funds.
Assist with quarterly internal and external reporting, including earnings releases, 10‑Q/K disclosures, and marketing and investor‑relations materials.
Maintain a strong SOX controls environment and document SOX control processes.
Coordinate with corporate & finance tech team on development and maintenance of strategic tech initiatives.
Prepare detailed balance‑sheet and income‑statement variance analysis for internal reporting presentations.
Assist on filings and audit of statutory financial statements.
Prepare ad‑hoc analysis and special projects as requested by senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
Strong U.S. GAAP accounting expertise (CPA or CA preferred).
6‑8 years of professional work experience, preferably Big 4 or a mix of Big 4/Private.
Strong financial‑reporting background.
Highly organized, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
Capacity to take a process/task and see it through to completion.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate with various internal departments.

Pay Range $140,000 – $205,000
Compensation range may vary by job function, level, and geographic location. The base salary range is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and firm performance.
