Working as our Body Shop Estimator, you would be providing our clients with quotes for possible collision repairs and delivering top‑notch customer service. The ideal candidate would have prior automotive estimating experience with a proven track record.
Body Shop Estimator Job Responsibilities
Assess and estimate the cost of repairs for damaged vehicles, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and guidelines
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify all necessary repairs and replacements
Prepare detailed and itemized estimates, including parts, labor, and materials required for each repair
Collaborate with insurance adjusters, customers, and repair technicians to discuss repair options, obtain approvals, and answer any related inquiries
Utilize industry‑standard software and tools to document and track estimates, repairs, and work progress
Maintain effective communication and build strong relationships with insurance providers, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of parts and services
Stay updated with industry trends, repair techniques, and manufacturer specifications to provide accurate estimates and recommendations
Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining records, preparing reports, and processing billing information

Must be able to use CCC1 and Mitchell estimating systems
Proven experience as a collision estimator or in a similar role within the automotive industry
Strong knowledge of automotive repair procedures, parts, and labor costs
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, insurance adjusters, and repair technicians
Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre‑employment drug screen.
