Staff/Principal Product Designer

This role offers the opportunity to shape end-to-end product experiences across a fast‑scaling, consumer‑facing platform in a highly experimental environment. You will lead design strategy across both early‑stage product initiatives and high‑impact optimization work within core user funnels. Working closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams, you will define and elevate the overall user experience while influencing key business outcomes. The role combines strategic vision with hands‑on execution, requiring strong systems thinking and a high level of craft. You will operate in a fast‑paced, data‑informed environment where experimentation, iteration, and impact measurement are central. This is a high‑visibility position where your design decisions directly shape growth, conversion, and customer trust.

Accountabilities

Lead product design strategy across multiple business areas, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality user experience

Define and evolve the end‑to‑end product vision, balancing innovation with optimisation of existing funnels

Design and ship new features and zero‑to‑one products while continuously improving existing experiences

Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and marketing stakeholders to align on execution and outcomes

Drive experimentation and iterative design approaches to validate ideas and improve product performance

Influence product direction through user research, data insights, and behavioural understanding

Manage executive‑level stakeholders and communicate design rationale clearly and effectively

Contribute to improving design systems, workflows, and cross‑functional product development processes

Mentor and guide other designers where applicable, especially in Principal‑level responsibilities

Requirements

7+ years of experience in Product Design (10+ years for Principal‑level roles)

Strong background in consumer‑facing digital products, preferably in high‑growth or startup environments

Proven experience working in fast‑paced, experiment‑driven organisations with iterative release cycles

Experience leading end‑to‑end product design, from discovery and ideation to implementation and measurement

Demonstrated ability to design both zero‑to‑one products and optimise existing user funnels

Strong portfolio showcasing interaction design, visual craft, storytelling, and product impact

Ability to articulate design decisions clearly and align stakeholders around product vision

Experience measuring the impact of design work on user behaviour and business outcomes

Strong systems thinking, with the ability to balance speed, quality, and scalability

Bonus: experience mentoring designers or influencing product direction in a leadership capacity

Bonus: experience working in AI‑augmented or modern product development environments
