WJHG/WECP, Northwest Florida’s leading news stations, seeks a Director/Technical Media Producer in Panama City Beach, Florida. This individual must be hard-working, self-motivated, and creative. The candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have some television experience at least at the Production Assistant level; would prefer Directing and/or Master Control experience. Basic working knowledge of PCs is necessary.

Responsibilities

Serve as a Technical Media Producer for live and pre-recorded productions.

Act as the Technical Media Producer during newscasts and in Master Control, airing live breaks, ingesting programming, commercials, etc. for the station’s five channels.

Work efficiently with little supervision and manage under pressure.

Maintain excellent communication skills and collaboration with co-workers.

Use ENPS Newsroom computer system, Ross Production Systems, and NVerzion Automation.

Understand all studio, production, and Master Control equipment and work closely with other departments to meet daily demands.

Train new personnel as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

Proficient with Ross Overdrive, Ross Carbonite Ultra60 Softpanel Switcher, Ross Caprica, TuningS/Panasonic PTZ Studio Cameras, and all supporting equipment in the Media Control Center and Master Control Area.

Experience (helpful but not necessary) of at least 2 years in the Television/IT industry.

Variable work schedule due to changing shifts, station projects, etc.

Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Available to work a minimum schedule of 40 hours per week.
