
4th & 5th Grade Ministry Director

POSITION SUMMARY
RPC's 4th & 5th Grade Ministry Director provides an environment and direction within the Children’s Ministry to prepare boys and girls to grow in Christ through the positive teaching and examples of Christian men and women.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement direction and goals for the 4th and 5th Grade Department.
Recruits, trains and mentors volunteers for Check In, small groups, and large group programming
Develop, design, and monitor programs on Sunday mornings
Ensure that all areas are staffed with trained volunteers
Ensure that all technical systems are in place and properly working
Ensure that the area is set up, clean, well maintained & prepared to receive children
Assists with the development of curriculum
Maintain control of expenditures in accordance with the approved budget
Ensure effective use of facilities and equipmentRegularly attend church at River Pointe Church
Become proficient in utilizing our database, Rock
Follow up with kids and or families in a timely manner
Help carry out special events such as Dance, special weekends, and Summer Camp
Utilize unassigned time to complete tasks specific to 4th and 5th grade Ministry, continually anticipating needs and implementing solutions for the same
Flexibility in response to unexpected change in work volume and staffing needs
Communication, cooperation, and assistance are given promptly and in a courteous manner to pastors, co-workers, volunteers, outside contractors, the membership and public
EDUCATION, SKILLS & ABILITIES Education:
High School Graduate / GED, or greater
Experience:
Minimum 2 years related experience
Computer Skills:
Two+ years’ experience with technology is required including Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook. The ability to quickly learn new software is required.
