Position Summary:
The Mimosa is the yearbook of Jacksonville State University and the Graphic Design team takes pride in showcasing the university’s achievements. The University Student Assistant – Mimosa Graphic Designer will layout and design the Mimosa using Creative Cloud software on a MAC computer, work with programs such as InDesign and Photoshop, and additionally provide graphic design support and clerical assistance for the department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Layout and design the University’s Yearbook, the Mimosa.
Use Creative Cloud, InDesign, and Photoshop.
Maintain confidentiality of information.
Work with a diverse body of faculty, staff, and students.
Perform clerical duties as needed by the department.
Produce additional design work as required by the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a JSU student enrolled at least 3 credit hours per fall or spring semester.
If not a first‑time student, GPA of 2.00 or higher.
Provide evidence of enrollment and GPA (unofficial transcript or MyJSU printout).
Preferred Qualifications:
Graphic Design student with Creative Cloud experience.
Notice Regarding International Students:
All international students must have valid immigration status.
Must be enrolled full‑time and possess a passport, F-1 or J-1 visa, U.S. Customs Form I‑94, official photo ID, and a U.S. Social Security Card marked “Valid for Work Only” or similar.
