Primary Responsibilities

Position Description As a member of the Private Credit Portfolio Management team, the position will play an integral role supporting the team on various funds across the platform. The team is the central point of oversight and contact with a focus on analytical activities and risk management. The team liaises with the organization’s investment teams, as well as the finance team, investor relations, internal legal, tax, risk, compliance and control functions. The role will also support strategic business initiatives and fundraising efforts.

Prepare/coordinate quarterly portfolio review process

Review/analyze quarterly portfolio review materials

Review/analyze portfolio level and portfolio company level statistics and trends

Prepare/coordinate materials for quarterly and ad-hoc fund-level portfolio updates

Review/analyze underperforming portfolio company statistics and trends, including risk rating assessment and watch list preparation and maintenance

Participate in regular meetings regarding underperforming portfolio accounts and prepare related materials

Facilitate and coordinate materials for ad-hoc internal/external requests and projects

Review/analyze and track amendment activity across the portfolio

Coordinate with finance team on internal valuation process

Coordinate with internal teams on ad hoc investor information requests as part of fundraising efforts and investor updates

In this role you will also have the opportunity to work alongside senior leadership to

Advance data analytics and reporting functions for the Direct Lending portfolio utilizing technology solutions

Develop and improve use cases for internal and external technology solutions

Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards to analyze portfolio performance with a focus analyzing data across the broad portfolio as well as trends at the fund-level, sector-level, and underperforming names

Qualifications - External BA/BS in finance or related field required

1+ years of finance experience

Strong analytical and financial skills, experience in a credit and/or portfolio management position is preferred

Strong capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines

High commitment to delivering quality work with strong attention to detail

Proactive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented with a strong work ethic

Compensation

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $130,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
