
Technical Writer

About the Role
In this position, the Technical Writer will serve as a key member of ZT Systems. The Technical Writer is responsible for partnering with teams across the company—Engineering, Manufacturing, Regulatory Compliance—to document all aspects of work processes in a system integration environment and create documents including user manuals, installation and maintenance manuals, datasheets, and videos for use by internal teams and customers.
What You Will Do
Create documents and videos such as user manuals, installation and maintenance manuals, datasheets, service videos, and other reference materials for both internal teams and customers.
Update existing technical documents to reflect hardware or procedure changes, ensuring that all materials are current and that multiple versions are maintained for different audiences.
Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to gather information and translate it into clear training materials.
Work with photo and video editing tools to capture hardware and system components and incorporate them into documentation.
Provide internal engineering, technical, and regulatory documentation support as needed.
Be technically savvy enough to learn server architecture and other technical details.
Anticipate dependencies, proactively communicate potential issues, and work overtime when required.
What You Bring
4+ years of related work experience in technical writing.
High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
Positive, collaborative attitude and strong technical mindset for fast‑paced environments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Willingness to learn photo and video editing and other tools as needed.
Evidence‑based writing skills to produce clear, usable product documentation.
Attention to detail, prioritization skills, and ability to work overtime.
Knowledge of Oracle Agile PLM is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits Base salary around $37/hr, plus bonuses, paid time off, 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, and other wellbeing resources.
