Purchasing Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist to join our food manufacturing team. This position is critical to ensuring timely procurement and inventory management to support uninterrupted production throughout our peak season. Process receipts for goods. Create and manage purchase orders for materials and services to support plant production and maintenance needs. Monitor purchase orders and expedite deliveries to avoid production delays. Review invoices, receiving documentation, and inventory transactions for accuracy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, deliveries, and invoices. Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures. Participate in cost-saving initiatives related to purchasing. Collaborate effectively with vendors and internal teams to maintain strong supplier relationships. Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation. Qualifications
35 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within a food manufacturing or production environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems (SAP preferred). Effective communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of food safety and quality standards is a plus. What We Offer
