Senior Analog IC Designer

As part of our expansion, we are currently looking for a suitably motivated senior analog IC designer to join our group.

What you’ll do

Design, simulate, and verify a wide range of analog circuits for high-speed ICs and photonic integrated circuits (PICs), including but not limited to:

Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIAs)

Limiting Amplifiers

Laser and modulator drivers

High-speed data converters (ADCs/DACs)

Voltage and current references, Bandgap references

Low-noise amplifiers (LNAs)

Power management units (PMUs)

Collaborate closely with photonic device engineers to understand device characteristics and optimize analog circuit performance for seamless integration.

Work with digital and mixed-signal design teams to define interfaces and ensure proper system functionality.

Conduct comprehensive simulations to ensure circuit performance, stability, and robustness across process, voltage, and temperature variations.

Develop and implement test plans for characterization and validation of analog circuits in both IC and PIC environments.

Perform layout supervision and contribute to layout optimization for critical analog blocks.

Contribute to defining architecture and specifications for future products.

Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in analog IC design, integrated photonics, and relevant industry standards.

Document design specifications, simulation results, and test reports thoroughly.

Who you are

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in analog IC design, with a strong portfolio of successful tape-outs in advanced node CMOS or BiCMOS processes.

Proven experience designing high-speed analog circuits (e.g., >10 Gbps).

In-depth knowledge of semiconductor device physics and analog circuit design fundamentals.

Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Custom Compiler, Keysight ADS).

Strong understanding of layout effects and parasitic extraction.

Experience with mixed-signal simulation and verification methodologies.

Experience with digitally assisted analog and analog calibration loops.

Experience with EM simulation tools such as Cadence EMX, Ansys HFSS or Keysight ADS.

Excellent problem‑solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with analog design for photonic integrated circuits (PICs) or optical communication systems.

Familiarity with various photonic device technologies (e.g., Silicon Photonics, InP, SiN).

Experience with high-frequency packaging and PCB design considerations for high-speed signals.

Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and Design for Test (DfT) methodologies for analog circuits.

Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) for design automation and data analysis.
