Plumbing Designer

Overview
Matern Professional Engineering is looking for a Plumbing Designer/Engineer at its Fort Myers or Orlando‑Maitland, FL office to be involved with design for commercial buildings, government facilities, and K‑12 Schools.
Responsibilities Perform plumbing design calculations and produce contract documents with isometric riser diagrams for sanitary and domestic water systems. Conduct technical comparisons and other technical work as required; coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians; review drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and engineers/architects and recommend necessary changes; research code issues and work with City, State and County officials; research design options and document findings for engineers.
Qualifications
2+ years experience in plumbing design or related field.
Strong working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
Familiarity with NFPA codes and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook and Excel).
Excellent communication skills.
Must be able to pass background checks, including the Jessica Lunsford Act and FBI clearance for government buildings.
