The Contract Specialist will support AWS Professional Services and AWS Legal by operationalizing the contract creation process for Statements of Work (SOWs) and related contracting structures. The role involves drafting and reviewing SOWs to ensure alignment with business and legal requirements, managing operational processes, analyzing trends, and recommending and implementing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Own the SOW process, including drafting and reviewing SOWs, obtaining approvals, tracking status and communicating with key stakeholders. Proactively identify and implement operational improvements that meet business requirements. Communicate daily with cross‑functional teams including Sales, Legal, Operations, and Management on assigned deals. Recruit, onboard, train, and influence other Contract Specialists. Create and maintain standard operating procedures. Drive continuous process improvement and build long‑term relationships. Become the SOW creation subject‑matter expert. Basic Qualifications
Experience reviewing and drafting contract terms in technology licensing and service contracts, or a broad range of standard commercial contracts. Proficient in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and Charts). Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within a high‑growth technology company. Experience in complex problem solving and working in a tight schedule environment. Experience working effectively across cross‑functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization. 2+ years of Salesforce experience. Strong written and oral communication skills. Locations: Seattle, WA; Dallas, TX; Arlington, VA.
