Goldman Sachs is seeking an Analyst or Associate level candidate to join the Fund Finance Corporate Credit team to assist in the analysis and underwriting of new investment opportunities. Our team sits within the Global Banking and Markets division and operates as the direct underwriting team across debt facilities collateralized by private credit and private equity investments. The finance professional will be an integral part of the team, responsible for a wide variety of activities and analysis. This position has frequent contact with all levels of employees, management, and clients. The candidate should possess strong communication and presentation skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct due diligence, underwriting, structuring, and closing of new investments

Continued monitoring of investments post-closing

Assist with a variety of projects including evaluation of potential investment opportunities and other ad hoc or strategic initiatives

Assist in creation of financial models and communicate key variables and risks with the team

Research and analyze prospective investments, developing various quantitative analyzes

Prepare internal investment approval memoranda and presentations

Deliver on ad hoc or special business project as directed by senior management

Perform ad hoc analysis: know where to get data to drive insights

Identify, process and technology improvement opportunities and develop recommendations for execution

Education, Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree from accredited four-year university in finance, accounting, engineering, or related technical field required

1-3 year of professional financial/accounting experience

Strong accounting/financial modeling and analytical skills supported by a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Strong verbal and written communication skills that support a collegial and collaborative working style

Ability to create and develop complex financial analysis including detailed assumptions and logical thought process

Ability to summarize detailed information at a level appropriate for executive communication

Flexibility and ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and to meet critical and established deadlines; ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously

Ability to learn quickly and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team

Self-starter, executes with a sense of urgency and delivers high quality results within compressed timelines

Strong financial acumen with a working knowledge of financial statements, financial metrics and KPIs

Basic understanding of accounting systems, principles, practices and procedures

Able to understand complex transactions and have a desire to learn new processes

Sound business judgment and decision-making abilities
