Purchasing Agent

to join our team and play a key role in sourcing quality materials, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring our operations run smoothly and cost-effectively.

Meyer is a growing, family‑owned company where you're more than a number, you're family! Purchasing agents will work closely with Purchasing Managers and Lead Buyers to place purchase orders for stocking items. This includes continuous monitoring of on‑hand inventory, sales statistics, and general forecasting of future trends.

Schedule

Competitive wages, based on experience

Stable schedule: 5-day work week ~40 hours

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

Creating purchase orders for stocking inventory

Tracking the status of placed orders

Managing basic vendor interactions

Recognizing when to elevate issues to the Manager

Collaborating closely with Managers and the Director to place stock orders

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience performing entry-level purchasing tasks

Proficiency with computers and general technology
