Seeking Co-Ops/Interns: Looking for students enrolled in the following 4-year program (or similar): Business International Business Finance This is a part-time position or could be a 6-month rotation to enrich classroom learning into real-time. Position Overview
As a Trade Compliance Co Op, you will support the company's import and export activities by helping ensure all shipments meet regulatory and audit requirements. This role is ideal for students interested in global business, supply chain, or trade finance. Skills Required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing documents Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks or document sets Comfortable working with cross functional teams such as finance, sales, and shipping Willingness to learn import/export processes and compliance requirements Key Responsibilities
Prepare Import and Export Audit Packets: Collect required documents—such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs entry forms—and perform an initial accuracy check before final review. Maintain Compliance Databases: Track which documents have been received, identify missing items, and update internal records to ensure complete and accurate audit packets. Coordinate with Internal and External Partners: Communicate with finance, sales, shipping teams, customs brokers, and freight forwarders to request documents, clarify details, and resolve discrepancies. Support Trade Finance Activities: Assist in preparing documentation for Letters of Credit and Cash Against Documents transactions, ensuring all paperwork meets required standards. Education and Experience: Full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business, International Business, or Finance Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher Special Skills
Knowledge of related engineering discipline functional and technical skills Ability to thrive in an environment where business and team needs may change to help "Make the Day" Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Access Good writing skills and interpersonal skills U.S. Person's Status is Required (Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) Must be 18 years of age or older Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and physical Must pass a pre-employment background check Competencies
