Student Assistant - University Communications and Marketing

Job Summary This position plays a vital role in the day‑to‑day operations of University Communications and Marketing (UCM) by helping maintain and strengthen our presence on social media. This in‑house position will assist the social media team while gaining experience in maintaining the integrity of institutional brand campaigns, copywriting, and community‑building.

Required Qualifications

Must be enrolled at UWG in a minimum of 6 credit hours with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Understanding and familiarity with Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

Working proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Canva.

Must be able to communicate ideas clearly and take feedback on work.

Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications

Superior customer service skills, positive and friendly attitude.

Willingness to work cooperatively with others.

Willingness to work outside of traditional business hours on occasion.

Ability to handle confidential information with care and prioritize duties.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

The student assistant position is an on‑campus position located in the University Communications and Marketing (UCM) Design Studio. The job may require travel to other on‑campus locations and willingness to work outside of the university’s traditional business hours of 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
